Andrée-Anne Perras-Fortin’s practice focuses on intellectual property contract law, copyright and trademark law. She is also interested in the legal issues surrounding the development and implementation of emerging technologies. She is regularly called upon to advise companies operating mainly in the high technology, entertainment and manufacturing sectors in the context of various commercial transactions. In addition, she assists businesses with the drafting, negotiation and review of commercial agreements as well as in the implementation of protection and due diligence strategies for their intellectual property needs.

Being a professional pianist, Andrée-Anne Perras-Fortin completed a doctorate in music at the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as a master’s and bachelor’s degree in piano performance at McGill University. She has performed on many stages in Canada and the United States and has received numerous performance awards and research grants, most importantly from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Fonds de recherche société et culture du Québec and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
