Rightsor”TRIPs”]oftheAgreementEstablishingtheWorldTradeOrganization
[FinalActembodyingTheResultsOfTheUruguayRoundofMultilateralTrade
Negotiations.signedatMarrakeshonApril15,1994].
EventhoughmostofTRIPs’requirementswerealreadysatisfiedbyCanada’s
existingintellectualpropertystatuteprovisions,togetherwiththeCommon
LawandtheQuebecCivilCode,somemodificationswerenevertheless
requiredandarehereinbelowsummarized.
