Jean-François Normand specializes in Information Technology law. He advises companies, including several startups, on issues related to intellectual property and commercial law. He has acquired an expertise in the high-tech industry and is notably involved in advising companies developing various software (mobile and web application, video games, artificial intelligence, etc.), particularly on issues related to open source licensing and data management. Jean-François is involved in various cases related to personal information protection, including European legislation (GDPR).

Prior to joining the firm, Jean-François practiced in the business law group of a national law firm as well as an in-house counsel in a large maritime company. He has also developed experience in various matters involving the writing of commercial contracts and intellectual property licenses, private and banking financing, mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, administrative and constitutional law, as well as maritime law and civil litigation.
