Protecting your innovations and inventions in order to make them commercially successful is my priority!

Dominique Pomerleau is specialized in patent matters in the fields of mechanical, industrial processes, pulp and papers, mineralurgy, metallurgy, materials and plasturgy, and industrial designs. She has almost 20 years of experience in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications as well as in the drafting of patentability, validity, infringement and right to manufacture opinions. Dominique also advises clients in intellectual property portfolios and due diligence matters. Her advice and the strategies she recommends vary according to the needs of her clientele, which is as much at the level of SMEs as large Canadian and foreign companies.

She is a registered patent agent in Canada since 2005 and in the United States since 2006. Dominique earned the highest overall result in patent agents’ examinations in Canada in 2005, which earned her the J. Edward Maybee Memorial Award.

Dominique is recognized in the IAM Patent 1000 since 2015: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals, a guide to the top patent professionals in key jurisdictions around the globe published by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM). The research process prior to the publication of the guide was conducted over several months and involved over 1,500 interviews with patent specialists around the globe. The guide mentions: “The “amazing” Dominique Pomerleau “does great work and her customers are always satisfied”, thanks to her “swift comprehension of technical matters” […] “Dominique Pomerleau is singled out as “a very intelligent and strategic attorney, who gets to the bottom of the invention and advises clients accordingly” […] ”Brilliantly helping patrons to strengthen their legal protection are electronics and telecommunications doyen Louis-Pierre Gravelle and Dominique Pomerleau, a materials science Ph.D. who can instantly get to grips with the most sophisticated mechanical inventions” […] and “Nathalie Jodoin, Dominique Pomerleau and Louis-Pierre Gravelle are also adept at fortifying the inventions of prestigious companies with iron-cast prosecution. They all have a glowing reputation for mechanical matters. […] Nathalie Jodoin and Dominique Pomerleau both have a background in metallurgy and excel at protecting industrial process innovations. […] In metallurgy, Dominique Pomerleau and Nathalie Jodoin dish out superb due diligence analyses and build up iron-clad protection around inventions. […] Metallurgy maestros Nathalie Jodoin and Dominique Pomerleau are meticulous in drafting applications and can identify the optimum route to grant.”
