Founded in 1892, ROBIC is an internationally renowned firm of professionals with a wide range of skills, including lawyers, scientists and engineers specialized in intellectual property and business law.
We are looking for a Trademark Agent to join our dynamic Trademarks team. Reporting to the Trademark Supervisor, the successful candidate will work with some of Canada’s most respected intellectual property lawyers and a group of twelve (12) highly skilled paralegals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze and comment on examination reports received for registration applications
- Analyze search reports and draft opinions on the registrability and availability of trademarks in Canada and the United States
- Draft certain pleadings before the Trademark Office, including arguments, oppositions and revocation actions (art. 45)
- Analyze evidence of distinctiveness and draft affidavits (s. 12(3))
- Conduct legal research using traditional tools, databases and the Internet
- Develop strategies for adopting, protecting, developing and exploiting trademarks
- Communicate with foreign correspondents and clients (in French and English)
- Monitor trademark files and manage deadlines
- Perform any other related tasks linked to trademark management
REQUIREMENTS
- Trademark Agent certification from the College of Patent and Trademark Agents for at least two (2) years
- Excellent writing skills in both French and English
