We are seeking an Operations Director to join our dynamic team in Montreal. This role has just been created due to the growth of our team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the selected candidate will play a key role in the strategic management of the firm’s operations. The person will be responsible for developing and implementing various strategies related to team performance, client management, client service and process improvement. These strategies will have a concrete impact on the success of the firm. At the same time, the Operations Director will be responsible for managing, coaching and developing a strong team of managers to take the firm’s operations to the next level. These managers are responsible of our client service, file opening, training and process improvement teams. Eventually, other teams will be added under the responsibility of the chosen candidate.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a global strategy to improve the firm’s operations and implement that strategy;
- Take ownership of major projects to improve team performance, customer service levels and processes;
- Coach, challenge and develop the managers in charge of the client service, file opening, training and process improvement teams (and possibly other teams);
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with certain managers, performance indicators, service standards and control measures to achieve high quality standards and minimize operational risks;
- Propose initiatives to improve the customer experience;
- Develop a training strategy, which will then be deployed by the training team, to share best practices related to customer service and ensure compliance with procedures for supervised teams;
- Ensure the firm’s compliance with the various regulations related to the Quebec Bar, government requirements, data protection and secret files;
- Manage all relationships with suppliers and service providers, including regular contract reviews and the conduct of bidding processes;
- Identify learning and development opportunities for team members based on the firm’s strategic directions and organizational goals;
- Identify, prioritize and follow up on various continuous process improvement projects;
- Participate in other special projects that add value to the firm;
- Perform any other related management responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, operations management or related field (strategy, project management, etc.);
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a management role;
- Excellent knowledge of French and English;
- Proficiency with the Office Suite;
- Master’s degree in business administration (a strong asset);
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (asset).
