In an era where consumers’ online habits and behaviour are increasingly being solicited and tracked, it can be difficult to make sense of the different legal rules that apply. Numerous legislative reforms, ever-changing tracking technologies (e.g. cookies) and consumers’ growing concerns over data protection are making it harder for companies to market their products and services.
