The ROBIC team is expanding with the arrival of Simon Lemay at its Quebec City office.
Montréal, Monday, January 16th 2017 – ROBIC, LL.P., is pleased to announce the arrival of Simon Lemay, a lawyer specializing in intellectual property and trademark agent recognized, among others, for his experience in the food industry for more than twenty years.
Simon Lemay obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from McGill University in 1989 and a Bachelor of Laws from Laval University in 1993. He was assigned to several positions at Culinar Inc. between 1994 and 1998, including the position of Director of Legal Services. He also distinguished himself by setting up an internal trademark management agency and was also entrusted with the management and protection of the intellectual property of this company. He then joined Lavery as a lawyer and trademark agent.
Simon is regularly invited to deliver lectures on intellectual property. In addition, his experience and training in the food industry prompted him to advise companies in this sector on issues of food quality management and food safety.
Simon Lemay is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Integrated Center for Health and Social Services of the National Capital, an organization of more than 16,500 employees with an operating budget of more than $ 1.2 billion. He is also the founder and president of the non-profit organization Le Dragon Boréal, which aims to develop self-esteem among young people through the practice of Kempo karate.
