Hugues G. Richard joins IP Neutrals of Canada

2011-01-19

Hugues G. Richard , partner at ROBIC, becomes the first Quebec member of the
recently created IP Neutrals of Canada. The
mission of this not-for-profit organization is to promote and facilitate the
resolution of intellectual property disputes through mediation instead of
litigation.

Clients have expressed concerns about the
escalating cost and complexity of traditional IP litigation. IP Neutrals of
Canada offers mediation as an alternative method of solving these conflicts, the
whole with a view to being more expeditious and less costly.

Having spent the vast majority of his 40 years of practice counseling clients
in the field of intellectual property, Hugues G. Richard is the only Quebec
based mediator accredited by IP Neutrals. Hugues G. Richard specializes in
litigation, transactional law and strategic counsel in all aspects of
intellectual property. He is consistently ranked by his peers as one of the
pre-eminent intellectual property experts in Canada. He appears in numerous
guides, including The Canadian Legal LEXPERT® Directory, The
International Who’s Who of Trademark Lawyers
, The International Who’s
Who of Business Lawyers
, PLC Which Lawyer?, Trade Mark Law
Practitioners
and Chambers Global.
