Profile

Jean-François Journault specializes in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and the rendering of patentability, validity, infringement and right to manufacture opinions, in the fields of computer science, software and telecommunications.

Jean-François was awarded a Bachelor in Software Engineering (with a concentration in communications and networking) from the Université Laval in 2006 and he is a junior engineer member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec. He was also awarded a L.L.B. from the Université Laval and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2010.

During his law studies, Jean-Francois realised a research internship at the Superior Court of Quebec, where he worked for Justices Rita Bédard and Yves Alain. In addition, he completed a semester at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, as part of an exchange program.

He joined Robic’s team of professionals after articling with the firm.

Jean-François’ clients include many important Canadian and international companies, both small and large, and cover various fields, such as:
