Isabelle Girard specializes in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and the providing of opinions in the field of physical sciences such as optical telecommunications, photonics, lasers, condensed matter physics and semiconductor physics.
She is a registered patent agent in Canada since 2004 and in the United States since 2005.
She was awarded a Bachelor in Physics from Université Laval in 1995 and pursued Master’s level studies in semiconductor physics at Université de Montréal.
Isabelle Girard joined ROBIC in 1997 and was appointed as partner in 2006. At the firm, she is a member of several committees and presides over the meetings of the patent professionals.
In addition to the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, Isabelle Girard also acts as a strategic patent porfolio adviser for her clients.

Isabelle Girard is a member of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and is actively involved in the Québec Photonics Network (QPN), for which she is secretary to the board of directors. She also represents ROBIC at the Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF). She is chair of the 2012 AIPF Annual Meeting organizing committee.
